[위대한 쇼맨]의 OST 앨범은 공개 직후부터 엄청난 반응을 얻었습니다. 영화 개봉 전부터 아이튠즈 차트 65개국 1위를 기록했고 개봉 후에 앨범 차트 1위를 차지했습니다. 앨범 수록곡 중 4곡이 빌보드 차트 탑 100에 들었습니다. 위대한 쇼맨의 OST 중 하나인 [This Is Me]는 2018년 제75회 골든 글로브 시상식에서 주제가상을 수상했습니다. 2018년 미국에서 149만 장, 전 세계적으로 300만 장 이상 팔렸으며, 그 해 가장 많이 팔린 앨범이 되었습니다.

 

영화 OST로는 이례적으로 빌보트 차트에서 연속으로 1위를 차지했으며, 영국에서 11주 연속 앨범 차트 1위를 달성해 영국 앨범 차트 역사상 최장기간 1위 신기록을 세웠습니다.

[Rewrite The Stars]는 영화 [위대한 쇼맨]의 8번째 수록곡입니다. 팝스타 커버 버전 앨범은 영화가 개봉한 지 1년 만에 발매되었습니다. 팝스타 커버 버전 앨범에는 패닉! 앳 더 디스코(Panic! At The Disco), 핑크(P!nk), 켈리 클락슨(Kelly Clarkson), 펜타토닉스(Pentatonix), 크레이그 데이빗(Craig David), 이어스 앤 이어스(Years & Years), 제스 글린(Jess Glynne) 등도 참여해 큰 화제를 모았습니다.
