팀명에서 드러나듯이 형제로 이루어진 미국의 보이 밴드입니다. 뉴저지 출신의 3형제 케빈 조나스(Kevin Jonas), 조 조나스(Joe Jonas), 닉 조나스(Nick Jonas)로 구성되어 있습니다. 2005년에 디즈니 채널에 출연하면서 인기를 얻기 시작했으며,  2006년 1집 [It's About Time] 2007년 2집 [Jonas Brothers]을 발표하면서 본격적인 음악 활동을 시작했습니다. 

 

2집 앨범이 미국에서 200만 장 넘게 팔려 10대들의 인기를 한 몸에 받았습니다. 2008년 조나스 브라더스를 주연으로 한 디즈니 영화 [캠프 락]이 흥행에 성공하면서 [캠프 락 2]까지 나오게 되었습니다.

캠프 락에 여주인공으로 출연했던 데미 로바토(Demi Lovato) 역시 이 영화로 인기를 얻게 되었습니다. 3번째 정규 앨범 [ A Little Bit Longer]은 빌보드 차트 1위를 기록하고 역시 200만 장 넘게 앨범이 팔리면서 전성기를 누렸습니다. 하지만 2009년 저스틴 비버의 [Baby]가 전 세계적으로 엄청난 인기를 얻고, 2010년 더 원티드와 원 디렉션이 등장하면서 팬텀이 나뉘게 되고 네 번째 앨범 [Lines, Vines and Trying Times]이 전에 비해 판매량이 줄어 70만 장 정도를 기록했습니다.

결국 2013년 10월에 해체를 발표하고 형제는 각자의 길을 걷게 되었습니다. 조 조나스는 2011년에 솔로 앨범을 내기는 하였으나 성적은 내지 못했습니다. 2015년 조 조나스는 DNCE라는 밴드를 결성해 메인 보컬을 맡게 되었습니다. 한국인 기타리스트 이진주가 속한 밴드로 유명한데 DNCE는 데뷔 싱글 [Cake by the Ocean]이 빌보드 차트 9위를 차지하며  다시 스타의 길로 올라서게 되었습니다. 케빈 조나스는 연예계 일을 그만두고 사업을 하고 있으며 2009년에는 결혼했습니다.

 

2019년 2월 28일에 조나스 브라더스가 해체한 지 6년 만에 다시 뭉쳐서 [Sucker]라는 곡을 발표했습니다. 이 곡이 빌보드 싱글 차트 핫샷 1위를 달성하고 앨범이 37만 장 팔리며 2019년 앨범세일스 2위를 달성했습니다.
